The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is 50 this year but they have decided not to celebrate this milestone because even after 50 years of amazing progress more than half of people who have Cystic fibrosis don’t reach there 40th birthday.

The trust says:

“We’ve achieved a lot since 1964, but we haven’t achieved our ultimate goal. We haven’t beaten cystic fibrosis for good.

That’s why, instead of partying, we are redoubling our efforts, working harder than ever to reach the day when everyone with cystic fibrosis can receive the treatments that will transform their daily life.

These are big, ambitious goals. To meet them, we need you and everyone affected by cystic fibrosis to get involved. We need to build a movement of passionate people who together can bring about real change.

You can get started by simply blowing up a No Party balloonat cysticfibrosis.org.uk/no-party.

When you blow up your balloon, you can share your experiences of cystic fibrosis, and say how you want to help.

Blow up your balloon today, and join thousands of people around the country who are uniting to beat cystic fibrosis.”

Please join me in blowing up a balloon using the links above and show your support for this cause. You can then read other peoples stories  and see how many other people are joining this fight. Be warned there are many sad stories but also stories of hope. And sometimes we just have to focus on the hope because that’s all we can do. You can see my balloon here.

Thank you for your support.
