Billy Bob’s Diner and Play area Skipton

We had a fantastic day out recently at Billy Bob’s American Style Ice Cream Parlour and Diner in Skipton!

And Joseph really REALLY loved the outdoor adventure play area as it was themed around various giant modes of transport- Joe loves anything with wheels and proudly screams “CAR! D-CAR!” at all manor of wheeled items (including shopping trolleys, mobility scooters and stuffed animals on wheels) so when he saw the GIANT WOODEN VEHICLES we thought he might explode with joy.

The only pitfalls of the day were that there was a 1 and a half hour wait for a seat inside the restaurant (unbeknownst to us on our arrival we should have put our names on the waiting list) but this wasn’t too much of a problem as we could grab a seat anywhere outside and it only started to drizzle just as we finished our meal.

Also the indoor play area that we bought a ticket for turned out to be a barn surrounded by bales of hay. Hay is a no no for Joseph because of his cystic Fibrosis- the hay contains mould spores that can cause nasty infections in people with CF, but the lady at the door gave us our money back no questions asked- it was  a shame he couldn’t go and play but it didn’t spoil his day at all. We went on to Clitheroe for a quick walk and a coffee and overall a lovely day was had by all!
