As someone who suffers from stress, anxiety and panic attacks I have been interested in mindfulness meditation for a while. I have recently downloaded the free ten day trial version of the Head space app that can be found here. It gives you ten, ten minute guided meditation sessions to break you in to mindfulness meditation.
The app makers say: “Regular mindfulness practice, through meditation, is an effective treatment for stress, worry, lack of focus, relationship problems, addictions and more. It leads to peace of mind and wellbeing, greater focus and creativity and better relationships.”
Worth a try don’t you think!
We have been trying to make the most of the last of the warm summer evenings by going for walks and spending time together as a family. Here is a photo taken by Rob of our walk around Preston Docks the other night. Joe loved looking at the boats and all the seagulls and Rob and I did some people watching and talking about the world.
And to finish I just really like this quote. We all know people who make you feel drained of energy and sad about the world and others who lift your spirits and make you feel the best version of yourself. Maybe we should all try and be someone who “leaves people better than how you found them”- I wonder what the world would be like if we all did that?
