Rach and Rob’s 5k- please sponsor us to help raise money for the CF Trust

Me and Rob!

Me and Rob!

On the 27th September this year me and Rob are doing our first ever 5K run and we are hoping to help Sarah, our sister in law and family friend Becky- who are running the Birmingham Half marathon in October- raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust!

Inspired by the duathlon he did for fun in June Rob has forced  encouraged me to do a 5K with him so we are attempting the Run Preston 5K and will be continuing to train over the summer holidays. I have been doing the couch to 5K running plan (for around three years on and off!) and now have just 6 runs to go before it’s completed! This week I ran for 4.8K- the farthest I have run before- even though it took me an age I at least know I can do it and am confident I will be able to run the 5K in two months time!

Please sponsor me and Rob on our 5K run and Sarah and Becky on their half marathon challenge to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust!

Our son Joseph was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at four weeks old after the routine heel prick test. Cystic Fibrosis is an incurable, life shortening genetic disease that currently affects around 9000 people in the UK, and many more around the world.
